One of the most important steps to take before you go out looking for a home is to find out how much of a loan you are qualified for.
Becoming "Pre-Qualified" is a very simple process. A lender simply asks you a few questions about your income, debts, etc. and uses a program to determine the amount of a loan that you would qualify for.
Many sellers ask for a "prequal letter" to be submitted with any offers, that way they are more comfortable negotiating.
After your offer is accepted, you will be required to have your credit checked, if the lender hasn't yet, provide financial information, and other lender required documents.
I work directly with the lender that you choose to make sure all of the documents, appraisals, and other requirements are completed in a timely fashion.
I work with great lenders, and am happy to refer you to the lenders that I use most often.
